Robin

Robin Taub is an experienced Chartered Accountant, published author, dynamic speaker, and a leader in the field of financial literacy.

Robin has held professional positions in both audit and taxation at two of Canada’s largest accounting firms, and spent five years in the complex world of Derivatives Marketing at Citibank Canada. Currently, she works with various organizations to create unbiased financial information, programs and resources to help Canadians make more informed and appropriate financial and investing decisions.

Robin is the author of A Parent’s Guide to Raising Money-Smart Kids. From piggy banks to paycheques, this book gives parents the information and skills they need to communicate effectively with their children about money.

Robin is also passionate about improving opportunities for women CAs to advance into positions of leadership and is Chair of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant’s Women’s Leadership Council. Robin is the mother of two teenage children. She lives in Toronto and enjoys an active family life including biking, hiking, snowboarding, music, travel, and reading.

Robin graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (High Distinction) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto in 1987. She earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 1989.

Shelle Rose Charvet



Shelle Rose Charvet is a renowned professional speaker and author of theinternational bestseller, Words That Change Minds. Since 1983 she has addressed audiences and worked with organizations in North America, Europe and Asia to help them solve their most difficult persuasion problems.

In 2010 she and her life partner founded a new company, weongozi inc.,to
create exciting, fun products to help people solve communication issues.
Their first success is an iPhone app, HusbandMotivator™. In 2012 they are
releasing Libretta™, an email tool that decodes the sender’s motivator and
helps you craft the right response.

In this opening keynote Shelle shares her life learnings as a woman business
leader, success strategist and startup entrepreneur.

Arlene

Arlene Dickinson is a Canadian marketing professional, author, and CEO of Venture Communications.

Dickinson joined Venture Communications in 1988, taking sole ownership in 1998. During her tenure she has taken the company from a local firm into one of Canada’s largest independent marketing firms, with offices in Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa.

She has been recognized with several honours and awards including: Global Television Woman of Vision; the Calgary Business Owner of the Year Award;  Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence; Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100, 2003 to 2006 and Hall of Fame; Ad Rodeo’s Lifetime Achievement Award and Marketing Magazine’s Power List.

She is one of the judges on the Gemini Award winning show Dragons’ Den, which airs on CBC Television and CBC Newsworld.

In 2011, Dickinson released Persuasion, a book on how to effectively use the power of persuasion in your personal and professional life. All WLS delegates will receive a free copy of Persuasion.
