With ‘Success in Action’ as this year’s theme, Women’s Leadership Symposium 2013 promises to be as action-packed as ever! The Symposium is an innovative and exciting opportunity for the best and brightest students to learn from and network with women from a wide range of industries. It is meant to educate, empower, and connect women in business while celebrating professionals who have created their own successful stories in various industries.

Applications for RCWIB Executive Positions

In order to apply for executive positions, applicants must submit the following information:

· A cover letter summarizing your interest and qualifications for the position that they’re applying for;
· A resume detailing your pertinent employment and volunteer history that would be considered an asset in considering you for the role that you’re applying for.

Please note that you may apply for more than one (1) position in any one (1) or more groups. However, separate cover letters and resumes must be submitted for each position that you’re applying for.

Every year, HUWIB hosts the globally-recognized Intercollegiate Business Convention (IBC), a unique opportunity for driven female leaders from around the world to explore careers interests and opportunities, expand their network of peers and mentors, and learn from the experiences of top female business leaders. IBC attracts over 1,000 women from over 100 campuses every year. Past keynote speakers have included: Marissa Mayer (Google), Diane von Furstenberg (fashion designer), Bobbi Brown (Bobbi Brown cosmetics), and Kate White (Cosmopolitan Magazine). IBC 2012 will offer several valuable new opportunities to build and launch a powerful new network of young female professionals as early in their careers as possible. Our annual Women’s Leadership Symposium (WLS) took place on Friday, March 23, 2012.

WCM is offering an evening of speed mentoring exclusively for women students in their 3rd or 4th year of their undergraduate studies or in an MBA program.  Students will have the opportunity to seek professional guidance from, and network with, capital markets professionals with diverse backgrounds.

Mentors are accomplished professionals from diverse areas of Capital Markets, including

-  Investment Banking
-  Sales and Trading
-  Equity Research
-  Buy side

Participants may discuss career management and advancement, gain insights on specific topics related to Capital Markets, and learn from the experiences of accomplished professionals in the industry.

During the event, Students will engage in Speed Mentorship with five mentors. The formal mentoring period will be followed by a networking session where students can engage with peers and industry professionals.

See Yourself Here is an annual open house at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. It provides high school, university and mature students that come from disadvantaged backgrounds and are interested in pursuing a legal education with an opportunity to learn about the law school admission process and the legal profession.

Participants attend inspirational speaker sessions, educational workshops, and a networking reception with law students, alumni and members of the legal community. See Yourself Here began as an initiative by the Black Law Students’ Association to target black youth, and has since expanded to include law students and participants from a broad range of communities that have historically been underrepresented in legal education and the profession.
