Why I chose WIB:  I chose to join RCWIB because I felt that it is a necessary student organization within the Rotman Commerce community. With approximately half the population of Rotman Commerce being females, RCWIB effectively caters to their needs by inspiring young women through various events. Students who are looking for career directions or networking opportunities that are not apart from the 3 specialization streams can definitely find the support they need here. I also appreciate the friendships and support that I have found through fellow members and alumni. RCWIB has also given me many different opportunities to learn from various professional women who have willingly devoted their time to share their experiences. Mainly, I wanted to be a part of RCWIB because I knew that this student organization had and will continue to strongly influence and support students within its community and beyond.

Interests:

Why I chose WIB: I was first introduced to WIB in my first year by my Tri Delta sorority sisters Jordana Greenberg (founder and first president) and Ksenija Stupar (past president). I began as a First-Year Intern, became a Co-Director of Marketing in my second year, and am now entering my third year as the 2012-2013 Vice President. RCWIB is an amazing organization that has experienced so much success in such a short period of time, and I’m honored to be a part of its exciting future!

Why I chose WIB: I didn’t know much about WIB in my first year until I attended the Women’s Leadership Symposium — I was blown away at how it well it was coordinated, the number of speakers that came out, and how inspiring the panels and keynotes were. Why I chose WIB: As a committee member in first year, I fell in love with RCWIB and everything it stands for. RCWIB is part of a revolution that is very much a part of our lives as females; I think that there is nothing better than advocating the advancement of women and I am proud to serve on this executive team. I began as a committee member of the Women’s Leadership Symposium, an event that’s really quite unrivaled – there’s something magical about being in the same room as so many amazing women and aspiring business women. Now serving as Director of Conference, I am incredibly excited to be planning the 4th annual Women’s Leadership Symposium, as well as to be working with such a wonderful team. One of my favorite things about RCWIB is that we are all set towards the same goal, and no matter our different personalities and likes, we are all the same when it comes to RCWIB: driven, ambitious, excited,…the list goes on!

Interests outside of commerce: Sports -  Basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, running – I love them all; and I love watching soccer – FCBarcelona, always and forever! I also love to bake, read, take photos, shop, and have a good time with friends.
